Thanks for the link. It looks to me like some where between 1893 and 1941 when that book was transferred to one of the Universities.
We know that in the early 1800's there were only 5 known dictionaries available.
Words that were proper "English" (UK) and pronounced by the English as "theatre" were later changed and standardized into American English and pronounced "theater" which is how we pronounce it today. This only one word of several hundred that were made into American English.
These standardizations to the American English language we now speak today, started to take place around 1830-1840.
So many published books in the Americas underwent a spelling and grammar test and several books written in the 1800's were re-written to reflect the American English standard. But still left the problems of The United States Constitution was not fully approved until the 1930's from many various languages of The Continental United States in such do not put a stumbling block in front of one Pro Se.
